Accounting Associate

Rhythmic Financial is a growing consulting and outsourced accounting firm based in Lutherville, MD. We are currently searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. As an Accounting Associate you should have in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information is a must for this job position.

This is a full-time, flexible on-site position.

Job Duties

  • Monitor email accounts for client transactions and correspondence.
  • Respond to internal and external parties professionally and timely
  • Download and input invoice data into accounts payable system
  • Research invoices
  • Enter resident receipts
  • Research and provide analysis on customer ledgers
  • Make payments online to vendors
  • Follow up with applicable parties on open issues
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Communicate status of workload on a recurring basis
  • Update and mark complete tasks on project management software
  • Maintain time entry through TSheets including billable vs non-billable time
  • Adhering to all the accounting rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Data entry, accounting, bank reconciliation, journal entries and other related experience
  • Ability to respond and follow up on items in a timely manner (generally within 24 hours)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • 2+ years related work experience OR Associates in Accounting OR continuing education for Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Yardi or similar property management system experience
  • QuickBooks experience
