Senior Accountant/Consultant

Rhythmic Financial is a consulting and outsourced accounting firm based in Lutherville, MD. The company is seeking a full-time employee to assist in the ongoing accounting for outsourced client services and assisting in a variety of internal and external consulting projects. This position is a new position due to the growth of the company.

The position is a full-time, primarily in-office position due to the collaborative, client/company growth
environment that is needed. There is an opportunity for flexible remote work in certain situations.

Job Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries and maintain reconciliations for designated balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Draft financial statements for review and delivery to clients
  • Perform various analysis and ad hoc reporting on financial or operational data
  • Compile data and schedules for various filings and client needs
  • Work with AR, AP, and other departments to resolve issues
  • Research and provide resolution to accounting issues internally and for clients
  • Assist in developing and enhancing internal operations
  • Assist on varying consulting projects, as assigned
  • Update and monitor tasks on project management software
  • Maintain time entry including billable vs non-billable time
  • Assist in development and roll out of company service offerings
  • Assist in handling office duties and responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 2 years related work experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage workload
  • Ability to respond and follow up on items timely
  • Excellent computer skills including experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Master’s degree
  • Yardi or similar property management system experience
  • QuickBooks experience
